Fifteen Midget Ninja Nuns! Fifteen Midget Ninja Nuns! Fifteen Midget Ninja Nuns!

Jay Lake at any Con makes it a fun Con. He had a spontaneous storytelling panel on Saturday night at RadCon and everybody in the room did at least one spontaneous story. The event evolved into the meme, "Fifteen Midget Ninja Nuns!" Later at the small press party (Wheatland, Scorpius, Fairwood, and Zeppelin) we shouted that phrase to anyone who entered the room.

I'm giving some thought to spontaneous storytelling and wondering if doing story words (like what Jay does) might be helpful to me.

The drive to Pasco WA is very long. I'm still tired from our arrival. We got in at 2am on Saturday after a six hour drive. Need to catch up on the sleep.

The Con was fun because it was cozy. Saw friends I haven't seen in awhile such as Harold Gross and Eve Gordon, and Renee Stearn. As well as Patrick Swenson, and Bridget and Marti Mckenna. Gardner Dozois hung around the small press party and I think X made an impression on him.

One of the joys of roadtrips is the hunt for a good cup of coffee. In The Dalles there's a place called The Holsteine Coffe Company. Dubious name, but the coffee was good and a most welcomed fine. The coffee wasn't roasted by neither sane nor mad cows.
