My story Walking Shoes was critiqued at the Wordos workhop on Tuesday and I'm pleased with the reaction. There are things to fix in the story but I know how to fix them. I'm looking at the story after a critique and I'm not thinking it's broken and I'm not thinking it's impossible to fix. Things are looking up!

I tried to follow the temptation plot in the book 20 Master Plots, but quickly diverged from temptation. I still produced a cohesive story. Interesting. It might be a challenge for me to produce a story by the numbers. To start a story I at least need to know where it's going, the emotion involved or feel of it, and sometimes knowing the theme helps.

Whether I keep focusing on plot or not, I just gotta write the next one. And I have to write a new one for Kate's workshop which is a little more than a week away.

But that's not all! I have two stories on my desk now that need to be revised and sent. Woo!
