Rain Begins

A flu bug knocked me on my ass for the weekend and I missed a day and a half of work because of it. It's not often that I get a bad flu that keeps me from working. And it's not even winter yet!

Oh but it's close. The rain has just started. If it stays around, that remains to be seen. When the weather was nice, X and I had two occasions in the last week where we said "Let's take advantage of the nice weather and sit by the river at McMenamins. It's probably our last chance."

So I'm feeling better. Not all the way well, but better. I missed work today (Monday) and I feel well enough for going in tomorrow. The DayQuil will help.

The autum tradition of having pumkin pie with my coffee has already begun.

World Fantasy is only a couple of weeks away. And I'll be on seasonal layoff at that point. This year I may need to get an eight hour a week job, but whatever, I think I can use my mornings for writing and the afternoon for any other income generating endeavors.
