Photos from the 30th, part 2...

Warning: this post contains artsy shots.

The mystery shot from the previous entry shows vaulting at Fountains Abbey; it was taken straight up.

Purple Pano Dragon didn't scare away everyone at the deserted medieval village (DMV) of Wharram Percy, but the plague might have.

Not a lot to see at a DMV, is there?

The DMV seen from across the valley, where it's a lot easier to see the surviving earth mounds of building foundations, especially when the sun's down at a low angle.

The Evil Eye Lounge, in York, where they name their Windows machines Evil Eye PC #1, Evil PC #2, etc. and apparently haven't a care about the interactions of cigarette smoke and hardware (or fleshware like me).

This small image won't reveal York Minster seen from 15 miles out in this vista of Yorkshire. But the full-res image does.

A field near the carpark for Wharram Percy.

What's the field of view of this artsy photo?

One reason I love the UK so much is the lighting and moodiness and constant change. A lovely end to part one of this trip.
