2010-01-12 2:05 PM Update So my National Registry for becoming an EMT-I IS coming up and though I'm excited about being done with this class, I'm extremely nervous about this test. I've heard that this test really is very difficult. I know that I can do it; I'm just getting pre-test anxiety quite badly.
I love riding on the ambulance and actually getting to put my hands on the patients; and know that me being there could potentially save someone's life. It makes me feel like I'm fulfilling my duty as a person. The environment really is friendly and warm; the guys that I've met so far are very kind; and I have never been in an environment where I fit in better. For the patients on the other hand.... well lets not go there. :) Though I am not allowed to work emergency for another three (well two) years. I would love to consider joining the military as as field medic and being able to help not only other people but help assist my family. (haha I guess I have changed in some ways) In saving lives that really do matter. Convincing my boyfriend in letting me do it will be the difficult part. He is active military with the U.S. Army in Satellite Communications; I'm extremely proud to know that he is helping our community in becoming a better place. People always talk about changing the world and trying to make a difference; but the biggest difference that I think a person could make in making the world more beautiful place and preserving as many people's lives as possible without destroying communities of good people; its not about the politics involved. Its about the ability to potentially give your life to help others. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
