a dangerous step...

We knew it was dangerous. But we did it anyway...

Last night Patrick and I re-borrowed Buffy: Season One.

It can't really eat our lives again, right? Right???

In other news, we baked apple strudel this morning (well, okay, I fudge the truth--we *reheated* Sainsbury's frozen apple strudel in the oven), which was delicious. In less good news--I'm still feeling woozy and sick. :( I am so intensely tired of this. Looks like I'll be going back to the doctor's tomorrow... Patrick is still ill, too, so it's a sickly house at the moment. (Even Nika had a hair-ball yesterday!)

Oh, and I've been drooling over the line-up for the 2006 Clarion West workshop. Man, I loved Clarion. I wish we could go back there and do it again--6 weeks of intense focus on nothing but writing, surrounded by great people. Definitely one of the best experiences of my life.

But in the very best of recent news, we finally got our act together and made our first mail order from Plaisir du Chocolat, the very finest and most heavenly chocolate shop in the world. (They have a brand-new website, so it's worth checking out even if you've seen the old one.) (And I just love the fact that the Scottish Poetry Library actually commissioned a poem for the opening of Plaisir du Chocolat's new manufacturing facilities! Talk about a national treasure.) I ordered luscious Tanzanian hot chocolate, and Patrick ordered two different kinds of green tea. Ohhhh, I can't wait until they get here....mmmm!
