Here are some things I'm looking forward to this year:

The New Moon's Arms, by Nalo Hopkinson. I just found out about this novel this morning. I can't wait until it comes out! (Not till February. Damn it!) Nalo Hopkinson has been one of my favorite authors for years, and the description of this book...well, just read the description! How could anyone resist? It's definitely going on my "wish list".

A Sami band (from the top of Scandinavia) was interviewed in The Metro today. They sounded really interesting and cool, their album is coming out on Monday...and I've completely forgotten their name. Aagh! Adjambo? Adjebo? Aj....something???? I'm going to feel really stupid if I never figure this one out...

Emma Bull's new historical fantasy novel Territory is coming out this year--but not until July! Gaah. Cannot wait so long...Being on a panel with Emma Bull at last year's Wiscon just confirmed me in all my fangirl impulses. Not only is she a fabulous writer, she's smart and funny and sharp in person, too. Another book to pre-order, I think...

Wiscon Wiscon Wiscon! Just four and a half more months to go...
