I haven't been doing enough writing in the past few days, mostly because the logical next scene in my story is a fight scene, and oh, how I hate writing fight scenes. (And yet I keep on doing it...sigh!) However, if ever anyone needed a reminder to write as much as possible in the time we've got, Terry Pratchett's sad announcement...well, I don't really know what to say. Except: I'm so glad he's planning to keep writing his wonderful books for as long as possible, and we all need to remember to make the most of the time we've got.

So I'm going back to the fight scene, and I'm going to write my way through it until it's done, because when it comes down to it, I love writing more than just about anything (although not anyone) else on earth. And I'd so much rather spend my time fighting with the pacing and dynamics of a painfully difficult fight scene than procrastinating, killing time, and making excuses for not doing what I love most.
