The "Wed-In"

On July 1, 1989, eighteen years ago today, (I was but a wee lad of 40), I was married in Snohomish, Washington.

Thanks to the woman who has been my life partner all these years, and her son, (now my grown son, as well as my friend), my hopes for a new family in mid-life have been fulfilled.

Happy Anniversary!

Our Wedding Day was notable in that it was a theme party, and the attendees were asked to come in Hippie costumes! We called this party our "Wed-In", and we asked that our friends come dressed appropriate to the Summer Of Love in the Golden Gate Park as a tribute to The Human Be-In on January 14, 1967.

(I was there with Peter and Marcy at the Be_In that day).

We were married in the side yard by Bob, and have videos to prove it! Of course, we wrote our own vows and burned our Social Security Cards, (or maybe it was bras).

Love is all you need.
