Enjoy the ride.

Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. • Real Estate & Roofing

I have to renew my Real Estate license every 4 years with 45 hours of continuing education. I took the 3-hour exam today and passed with a 97%. Not too shabby. :-) My step dad lovingly teased me, "That's all? You know, your sister would've done better." She probably would have. Stuart would've too. It's hard to compete when over-achievers constantly surround you :) I'm happy with my "A" though - especially since I didn't study for it.

While I took the test, we had a real Thunderstorm going on in the background. The wind howled and blew the rain against the windows. Thunder roared and lighting lit up the sky while the power flicked on and off. It seems to have calmed down for the time being. We are in for a week of rainstorms though according to the radar. It's times like this when I don't miss the roofing business.

I can tell you some stories! Stories of trips to jobsites in the middle of the night, dressed in sweats and rain slickers, carrying flashlights. Trying to tie down tarps that had blown off in the wind (at night, with cold wind and rain, while walking on a wet, slippery pitched roof). *shiver* It's much better to be inside, not worrying about things like that.

Real Estate, even with all it's own stresses, is better than Roofing.
