Enjoy the ride.

Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility.     Houses on stilts - bad idea

    When I see the photos in Galveston of all the homes along the shore that have been damaged, I just can't help but think, "Hello, you built your house up on stilts, you obviously know the waves come up on shore." Who is the brainchild that decided, 10' (or whatever the height is) off the ground is good enough?
