I get to pick up My Love from the airport in less than five hours and the time is just not going quickly enough. He was supposed to be home earlier today and when he called me yesterday with the news that he was going to have to stay longer I think I turned green. This week has been entirely too tedious without him. And really…I just like him here…

Tonight his wonderful friends took me out to dinner with them. The place we went to is a gem. It’s a typical hole in the wall bar in a very non-trendy area on the west side of Cleveland. The menu has all of your typical bar food with one glaring exception. The place has veggie sausage & sauerkraut, a seitan veggie reuben, vegetarian sloppy joe, vegetarian hot dogs, veggie burgers, veggie pasta primavera…I could go on and on. I’m thrilled at the fact that it is so close to me (though it’s in a pretty shady part of town). I think, due to the fact that there are plenty of meat-laden things to order, I shouldn’t have too much trouble dragging my sweetie there from time to time.

The owner was exactly what you’d expect after seeing that menu. Vegan punk. Our server was absolutely fabulous. I would go there just to see her again…she rocked.

Other than that, I was a rebellious little One-L today. Yeah…I skipped Contracts. I feel unbelievably panicked that I did it…and yet, sleeping until 1:30 and taking a nap at 4:00 made it pretty much worth it.

And, after a brief trip to get the kitchen to get some ice for my Diet Coke I just figured out why Zeus had orange poop today. The damn dog ate my entire box of Cheez-Its. Damn him. I think that dog is out to get me. I see that he is also now curled up in the laundry basket on top of the only three articles of clean clothing that I have. Grrr…

Four and a half hours to go. I almost wish I hadn’t slept all today so that I could nap and make this whole thing go more quickly. I can’t wait…
