Mmmmm...

My first midterm is tomorrow morning. Contracts (Ew). I gave up studying a few hours ago. At this point I feel like it's pretty useless. So I napped. I walked the dogs. More importantly, I ate at my new favorite restaurant in the entire world with my sweetie and his friends.

An Italian place not too far from here got a great review in Scene Magazine. I never got around to reading the review, but many of my fellow students were so taken in by the write-up that they went there immediately. I wish I had.

The woman who served us co-owns the place with her husband. Her Aunt made all of the tablecloths by hand. She spoke with an Italian accent. Everything...and I mean everything...was homemade. The sauce, the meatballs and the sausage (and boy was I ever tempted to become a carnivore again), the bread, the tiramasu, the gilato (don't know if I'm even close to spelling that right...but we received a very large plate with a sample of a few flavors that we attacked). Aud's cup of coffee may just have been the best cup of coffee I've ever tasted...

And ya know what else? It was cheap as hell. That's right, I can actually AFFORD to go there, which is really something, if you think about it. I wanna go again. Right now. Mmmm. Pasta. Mmmm.

So...Contracts tomorrow. Let's see if I can manage not to screw it up. I think I'm ready...which sort of worries me. Perhaps this will be my second lesson in humility for the year. The first one...still smarts.

Bed time for me. I'm so terrified of oversleeping that I'm just gonna cash in now and get up at five, that way even if a dog gets loose, my car won't start, I get hit by a bus, and have to walk to school with two broken legs, I'll still be there in time for my midterm.

Good times.
