She Said Duty (*Snicker*)

I’m still not sure why in the hell I chose this unbelievably tedious path in life, but choose it I did. I could be reading and writing about Shakespeare and Dickens, but instead I spend my time obsessing about immunity from liability and statutory duties.

Another paper is now turned it. Let the gods of legal writing smile down upon my very sorry Memorandum in Support of Defendant’s Motion to Dismiss. And let the gods of great boyfriends send some sort of cosmic reward to my honey, who after a long and arduous week in the IT minefields, spent his rare free hours on a Sunday night cooking me a luscious dinner of vegetable pot stickers and hunkering down with a pencil and the final draft of my paper for some proofread-ey goodness while I flopped on his couch with a glass of wine, good for nothing other than a few half-hearted grunts and very poor conversation.

(How’s that for one hell of a run-on sentence?)
