So today is my thirtieth birthday.

I celebrated by taking a bit of time off from my studies to try and enjoy myself a bit. Aud took me out for dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant last night after having secretly assembled my sisters and our friends there for the occasion. Afterwards, we enjoyed mojitos in Ohio City before heading home to walk the dogs together.

After brunch with my family and my sweet this morning and a few hours at the library, I’m back home with my pups and my sweetie, who is in the living room watching the Browns game with his friends while I toil in the study.

I’ve been inordinately reflective for the past few days, thinking a lot about where I’ve been and where I’m going. I’m looking forward to my thirties. I’m content.
