Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"Out past the barrier of your comfort zone lies everything your Heart desires - get out there!" - Jackson Kiddard ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The day did not begin by goofing off, this comes later.

About 7 a.m. Michael whispered to me about going walking this morning, I said yes.

There is sunshine out this early in the morning (7:25 a.m.). Today's walk is a serious walk says Michael. Yesterday we worked on more of a speed walk and today is to be more of the same. It really broke down into Michael's stride is longer than mine. I take two steps for every one of his.

My body wasn't going along with this plan. Today the middle of my back and my hips bothered me. Plus, I am breathing heavy too. Every third breath was through my nose and the rest of the time was through my mouth. Finally I told Michael I was going to go at my pace. He said okay and slowed down.

Even with my slower pace, we did the loop (1.2 miles) in 25 minutes.

Exercise is great but speed walking doesn't leave time to look for photographs!

While out on our walk yesterday, we came upon a short, two-door cabinet sitting out by the street but no "Free" sign on it. Neither of us wanted to go find out if it was free so we went back to power walking.

This morning we see the small cabinet in the same place but with a sign on it marked "Free." During our walk we discussed the pros and cons about this item of furniture. By the time we returned home, we decided we could use it in the living room. We drop off our walking sticks grab a towel for wiping down the top because of overnight condensation. We brought it home and Michael has been decorating his corner with the new piece. Now he can showcase the skulls he has collected over the years.

While he was cleaning and moving, I came into the dining room to write up my entry today. Ha! I gazed at a little bird taking a bath. Man, I wish I was in place to take a photo.

And then, I got to playing around on Pinterest. Mz. Bex over at Crow's Cottage told me about what she had been doing with her space. You have done a very good job on this Bex.

Oh goody, it is fascinating as well as learning something new. I began to play around with pinning and following. I have one board of my "Neighborhood Flowers" and the rest are pins from other sites of the things that interest me. Before I knew it, three hours have passed. Next time I will need to set a timer to know when to step away from the table.

I even showed Michael what I was doing and his response was, "What's a board?" He had no interest whatsoever about all my finds and the plans I have made for this site. What I want to do is put more of my own photos up instead.

If you would like to go see what I did here is the link: Emily's at Pinterest.
