Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"Learning is movement from moment to moment." Kiddu Krishnamurti

I woke up at 7 a.m., took care of my medications and duties in the bathroom and then went back to bed. With the way I felt, I had thought I might not go walking.

Back in bed though I began to feel the stretches coming on, after doing them now, I felt need for the outdoors. While putting on my shoes I queried Michael if he wanted to go as well. I heard some mumbling and I took that to mean no. Before I left the apartment I fed Bailey so he would not feel neglected.

I have found if I feed Bailey before I leave, then he isn't fussy when I return. This allows me to sweep my walkway, refresh the water in the birdbath, and clean the bird poo on the walkway.

Off I went. I had not planned to take photos this morning as I wanted to work on my striding. But alas, my field of vision caught some possibilities and there you have it, your introduction to a Central Coast daybreak.

I'm on the return loop towards home I see my first view of daybreak:

Day break 9 6 12

And here, the way the sun highlights the palm tree is astounding.

Morning has broken 9 6 12

I have to say my little cell phone camera does a fairly good job.

Considering I did not feel like walking when I first woke up, I can honestly say I'm glad I did. I have to say thanks to that man of mine who assisted me in getting started on this "good" habit.

Football Has Begun

Yessereee bob, the season began last night in the Meadow Lands with the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys. It was pins and needles at times but unfortunately the Giants lost, 17 to 24.

Sunday Night Football brings the Green Bay Packers against San Francisco 49ers together. I know where I will be!

Update on the Health of Our Truck

Thank heavens for friends. Through a friend of a friend, Michael was given the phone number of a man who runs a mobile repair truck. Michael called the guy and was invited to come on over.

He and Michael got off to a fine start. He had Michael start the truck and with some trouble shooting, he handed Michael a to do list along with a list of parts to purchase. After sharing all this wisdom, he didn't charge Michael a thing. Plus in their discussion, Michael shared about working on his vehicles and the bikes. The guy said when he had a job and needed an extra pair of hands, he would call Michael.

Next, Michael called the parts house to make sure they had what he needed in stock, he was asked if he was a member of AAA. He said he was and learned he will receive a discount on what he is purchasing.

It's simply amazing the miracles that happen in daily life.
