Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Today, I had the notion to make up some kitty crackers for Bailey. The recipe came from Bex at Crow Cottage. She is always on the look out for me easy recipes I can do for Bailey.

How hard can it be to cook for a cat?

Now this recipe consisted only of:

1. Tuna with the juice
2. Flour
3. Cornmeal
4. Water

Combine them and then roll them out to 1/4 inch thick. I used a pizza cutter to make the cubes. Later I found I needed to make smaller cubes than I did. Place this cubes on a greased cookie sheet and back at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

They smelled pretty good. First thing wrong is the pieces are too larger. I begin breaking them into quarters and to cool more. I gave one to Bailey. He smelled it but did not eat it. Okay.

I leave the rest of the crackers to cool and break up more of them in bite size bits. Later on, I had about four of them in my hand and offered them to Bailey. Nope, no way, is he interested. He smells them but he does not wish to partake.

What is up with this cat? I've tried to samples of different cat treats that are to be healthier for him and he turns his nose up at them.

I thought with making some homemade treats he would eat these. I'll try some when I groom him because this is a normal time I give him treats.

I was telling Michael about what was happening. I said that if Bailey really doesn't like these crackers, we could use them in the stuffing for the turkey. Oh my, talk about a look I received; Michael doesn't not think this is a good idea.

Well, first batch of kitty treats - 0

At least I attempted to cook. Maybe I need to make something for Michael instead.

So that's how it is in the apartment tonight.
