Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"People need loving the most when they deserve it the least." - Louise Hay

Here we have come through the first day of the new year. Now I have to get used to writing 2013. You didn't see that but I did write out 2012 first. Boy, habits are hard to get into and hard to break.

I went to my Monday night meeting last night and upon my return we got ready to watch the happening's in New York City. I want to go to NYC once to see the ball drop, although last night's temperatures would keep me away. I hate to be cold.

After watching TV we were still awake so we watched a movie about the fighter pilots of the British Air Force during the Battle of Britain in "First Light." This was a good movie, that is, if you like fighter pilots and their airplanes. The dialect, at times, is a bit hard to understand but you pick it up. It is a nice thing about the reverse button. I think all fighter pilots back then had a pretty big challenge especially those first ones.

After that movie we went to bed. Guess who slept in this morning? This means I will have another late night and to top it off, I had a nap this afternoon. I love those afternoon naps. I'm afraid I shall end up being a night owl which the hub won't mind.

It was a slow day around the apartment. I did a couple of housework things but the best fun was I began working in my new journal. I did get the artist's sketch book. I've done some writing and art work. Not that I ever let lines stop me from drawing but a blank page calls to me.

I called or texted my friends and family New Year wishes and had fun getting caught up.

I'm back on Facebook again and one of the "likes" I did was to Sassy's Outlaws and Angels. She had this quote that I just fell in love with because I can remember the days prior to that darling man of mine:

"If duct tape, WD-40, super glue, or a Craftsman wrench can't fix it, just shoot it."

I know some of you may be saying, "oh my." Having lived in the country and then depending on myself to get things done, the list above was pretty much my tool box. Not that I would necessarily shoot whatever IT is, it is funny to me.

Well, I've gone on long enough for one sitting. Happy New Year everyone.
