Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Mood:
Tired

Another night of bad dreams. I wake up tired and it is overcast but with some sun shining through. Mr. F says it is predicted to have some rain this afternoon but it hasn't happened yet and it is 4:31 p.m. now, maybe tomorrow.

Morning was also greeted by the maintenance guy to take care of the epoxy around our kitchen sink that developed mold underneath it. Tilex nor bleach would remove the horrid stuff. So, it all came out and new grout was applied which I was told would last a good long time. I hope the guy was right.

Although I felt crappy this morning I did go walking. Mr. F chose to stay home as he had a toenail rub the next toe sore and with diabetes he doesn't want to fool with his feet. I don't want him too either.

The sewer work crew was on our street today checking the piping and they are at the corner on the main street digging up the road.

Getting to the food bank this morning I took to back way to by pass all of this roadwork. Bonus, we received three small zip bags of coffee beans. Helen the volunteer there said most folks don't grind beans and the whole beans don't go quickly.

Bad news, a friend's husband is in the hospital because of a lump on his neck. Cancer was found. Oh gee, I can't even imagine. Please say a prayer for them/him for strength, courage and love. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Things like this make me realize how good my life is even with the dumb dreams I am having.

After a break for tea and a yogurt, I get our dirty clothes ready and Mr. F escorts me over to the laundromat. This is how I spend a portion of my afternoon. I spent some of that time on the phone and reading.

I'm reading about the Bohemians in primarily in England but they moved all over England and to Paris. The section I'm in is during the last 1800s and early 1900s. Being a poor artist was in vogue for your craft. The book's title is "Among the Bohemians" by Virginia Nicholson. Nicholson is the granddaughter of painter Vanessa Bell who was Virginia Woolf's sister.

A very good and interesting book. I am finding I have to look up a few words. Some I have heard of and others not. I guess this will keep my mind active and stave off dementia.

Back home again, clothes put away, Mr. F prepares us some lunch and we settle in to watch a movie. Guess what? We both fall asleep.

I have dreams and Mr. F hears the sounds of the night. Last night it was my 10:30 p.m. alarm to take medication, then it was the next door neighbors banging around, after that it was the neighbor's car across the street alarm going off. He finally got up and stayed up until 5:30 a.m. this morning surfing the 'Net. So, I believe a nap was in order after all.

And that was my day.
