Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

By the sounds of town, everything is back to normal. Although in the immediate vicinity there are no road construction noises. The road crew must be in another area of town.

We had a fun day yesterday with visiting with friends in another town. We haven't seen them in ages and it was good to catch up and see their two boys all grown up. Met up with other friends I knew when I used to work in the law field and that was a long time ago. It was fun to share stories about the different attorneys we worked for.

In some ways, I miss the fact we don't live closer together to our friends. I miss their company.

I was up and out early again this morning. Even so, the vehicle sounds on the main road practically drowned out the sound of the ocean. I had to listen really hard to hear the waves on the beach.

A good thing happened this morning, I had planned my walk to head up to the store for a bag of supplies. Only, I'm so used to my routine of walking I took my usual route. This meant I got another walk in with going to the store. By the end of this week, I will have walked eight times which means eight miles. Hoo hoo for me.

Not much going on today other than going through the cleaning list the housing authority sent out and getting something else done. Luckily, our apartment isn't that bad so these jobs are pretty quickly gone through.

It is another day in paradise. Temps are supposed to be 68 degrees but it feels warmer than that. I heard on one weather report that for last year we only received three inches of rain in our county. Not good for our farmers. I wonder if the lack of rain is due to global warming. Of course, when I have talked to those who are native to California they say this happens every so many years and nothing out of the ordinary.

As for me, I'm going to enjoy the weather and enjoy my day. My best to all of you.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
