Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Sounds and Fragrances of the Burg

Road work heard about the burg this morning. The most annoying was the jackhammer. It sounded close by but I never saw anyone using it while on my walk. I did talk to some of the workers. More digging up street that has been worked on before. There is a lot of work to putting in a sewer.

Another thing I notice when I'm out on a walk is the different smells.

There is the smell of clothes drying. One of my favorites. Some days if I'm out early enough, I can smell the roasting of coffee beans from the local coffee merchant. Then there is the fragrance of sweets coming from the bakery. Today, I noticed a food smell coming from the Mexican restaurant of their morning dishes. I like weekends because I can smell the scent of bacon and eggs cooking. Then there are the fragrances of the different blooming flowers.

It just amazes me what I notice when I am walking around.

It is a food bank day. Not much for choices. I don't know if it is because we are going later in the morning, 10:15 a.m. and they close at 11 a.m. Or, donations are down. This is the first time the veggie table was folded up.

So, it is a day.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
