Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Sunny But Cold

I don't get it that I stay up until 11 p.m. and then I wake up around 7 a.m. I would think I would be sleeping later but I don't.

It was another morning of a nervous stomach which I will have to talk to my doctor when I see him later this month. I have been trying to get in sooner but he is booked full until my appointment. I hate working with the county.

Nice thing about this morning is that dear man of mine went walking with me. Although we had layers of clothing on, it still felt cold until we had worked up some warmth.

I saw on the weather report this morning and the high today is to be 58 degrees. For those of you in the mid-West and the East Coast this is balmy weather but for me it is cold.

One bad thing about the rain on Sunday, we are now finding ants in the apartment around the door. Gak! I hate ants. I don't believe in killing things but when they come uninvited into my home, they go to insect heaven. I have been smooshing the ants with my finger as I don't want to spray chemicals that Bailey might get into.

It was food bank day and we came away with some good provisions. Enough to make some good meals this week. My favorite was the mushrooms. I love sauteed mushrooms all by themselves.

As for the Roku, I'm still not sold but Mr. F is going through it and bringing up channels that would interest me. Since I'm not a techie, I'm leaving all of this up to him and if he is sold, I'm sure I will follow but will have to see.

Bailey is not a happy camper with us today. With my help, Mr. F trimmed his claws. One of the back ones was clipped a little to close and blood was drawn. Imagine our panic when we saw little red paw prints on the coffee table. I hate it when this happens. I'm glad this doesn't happen very often.

Other than visiting with a friend later on today, my day is quiet. I hope to get some reading in.

So, I will leave you to your day and hope it is a good one.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
