Silk and Velvet

Tonight I cut out the lining for the jacket from the gold/copper dupioni. Nothing exciting there.

For the corset, I was really concerned with keeping the "sandwich" inline. (i.e. the velvet, boned-innards and silk lining) I read somewhere, I think, that you can use a light coat of spray adhesive to keep fabric in place. So I tried that. Worked great on the silk but not so great with the velvet. That's ok though. It still helped.

Here's a picture of the corset pieces showing the silk lining.

The black around it is the underside of the velvet. Once I stich around the edges, I'll roll that in and hand-stich it down.
