Plain Banter
. . . lies about science fiction, and everything else.

When the writer becomes the center of his attention, he becomes a nudnik. And a nudnik who believes he's profound is even worse than just a plain nudnik. -- Isaac Bashevis Singer

Vote Early . . . if you can

I'm thinking that this year's election will have the highest turnout in recent years, so I tried to take advantage of the early voting option available here, and avoid the election day crush. Didn't work. The line snaked out of the library where the poll was set up, and around the parking lot. Yikes. I drove off without getting on the line. I'll probably try again during the week, though.

Next presidential election, I'll probably just request an absentee ballot, and vote by mail, to avoid the issue. Why don't we all vote by mail or electronically, anyway?
