The truck is long gone...Seems there was a plug in the line, somewhere between the house, and the tank. The tank was very full, and needed to be emptied anyway, and that provided easier access to the clog. We sent the driver away, with all our shit. (literally). We then put the power snake in the "in" line on the septic tank, when what came out? A tampon! Seems it clogs these holes, too. The driver told us to boil water, and pour it down the sink, so we did a few pan fulls of that. Then...out through that tube came one very long.....ummmm....turd? A bunch of muck and crap, and...well...stuff...it was no less that two feet long, as we watched it flow into the tank. Talk about something I could have lived my entire life with never seeing. But...we can now shit in the house, and shower and wash clothes! We stayed in a motel for the night, and did not want to do that again. We still need to install a toilet in the back bathroom, the one we use the most. The bolts holding it down were so rusted, that they broke off. We had to get new bolts, and the bigger size wax ring for it. I have had three days off, but it feels as if I have worked harder here than if I was at work. Certainly stinkier. |
