Tonight was Ladies Night at the Cycle Barn. I did not have much information to go on, 'cept that we were to leave the men at home, and go have a good time without them. The invitation said the Washington State Firemens calendar men would be there, and that was enough for me! They also had a buffet table set up, and free spirits. I invited Alisha to go with me, as I didn't want to attend by myself, and she might find a good deal on a gift for Chris. She was able to find him a great pair of gloves, that was specific to his wish list. If they do not fit him, they will exchange them. They had a fashion show, in which the men of the Cycle Barn modeled for us. It got pretty loud in there, and the guys were fairly stoked up. A lot of them really wanted to show all of us a good time, and some of them did. It was a lot of fun. Then, the firemen came out. WOW...they can put on a show! What the heck is it about a fireman? The big clunky pants, and the suspenders, hanging at their sides. The tight shirts, and cut chests...It got pretty hot in there. We had a good seat, in the front row, at a table. The firemen then auctioned of their shirts, and took 'em off, most while dancing. The proceeds will go to the burn center, or some charity that they deal with, all for a good cause. I think they raised around $1,000 in the t-shirt sales alone, not to mention the calendars they sold. One of them jumped onto our table and did a dance just for us. Good times...I was sorry I could not bring all of my girlfriends, I will know better next time, dammit! Who can argue with free beer, and great scenery? I did not even shop for any gear for myself or for my man...oh well...my mind wasn't working properly, I guess....lol |
