Today was uneventful at work. The shift ran well, and I ran under the alotted 22% labor. The biggest problem was doing the daily deposit. I was off yesterday, and I had coins delivered. No one seems to be able to do a coin order deposit without my help, so once again, they left it for me. I normally just do it, but this time, the entire thing was missing $14. What a random number...I finally had to make it all even, and short a register. I of course assigned my name to it, and left a note saying what happened. Not my fault, but I fixed the problem, as no one else seems to be able to do. Just pass it on to the next manager...or until I get there.

It started snowing around 5:00, and I was off at 7:00. There was already two inches of the stuff on the ground. I had to get it off my car before I could leave. To get to my house, I have a huge hill to climb. There is two lanes in both directions, with a suicide lane (double left turn lane) in the middle. There was a car that could not get started in the right hand lane at a stop light ahead, so I chose to get onto the left lane. Of course then there was a car in that lane that could not move up the hill...Thank goodness I have full time 4-wheel drive, I didn't have any problems, but I had to keep changing lanes and weave my way to the freeway. Since the snow was fast and furious, there was no plows out yet. The drive home was slow, and tedious. I was glad to make it here safely.

Once home, I get into the kitchen, where no one had done a damn thing all day. I started filling the sink with fresh soapy water, and got a few loads done (yes, a few). After getting plates and glasses and silverware, I stopped, saying I would start cooking now. Mike, who at least was rinsing by that time, said, "good, I am hungry"...omg...I work all day, and then wash the dishes, then I have to cook dinner for everyone...

So, when I had dinner cooking, Mike was playing a game on the computer, and Caitlyn was watching TV, so what do you think I did?...right....I washed the rest of the dishes...I hope there is enough insurance money for these guys to install a dishwasher and order take-out if I "get dead" anytime soon.

I am sitting here, waiting for my work uniforms to dry enough to hang, so I don't have wrinkles. When that happens, I have to re-wash them, 'cuz God knows I am not going to iron them...ever...I hear Mike in the kitchen, grinding coffee beans, getting ready for work in the morning. They say the snow should turn to rain by then, and all this new glorious snow will be gone. (YAY!!)

I am so tired of snow, yet thankful we live in Seattle, not Spokane...those guys are way worse off then we are.
