Today was Alisha and Chris' 3rd wedding anniversary. I stopped by the condo and picked up the baby, so they could go out to eat to celebrate. Alisha asked me what time we go to bed, and I laughed at her and said between 9 and 10, but you kids do what you need to do, and don't worry about us. If you get in late, you will find me and the baby sleeping on the rocking chair. No big deal.

Mike and I went out for dinner, too. Not with them, but just the three of us. We went to Ivar's, and had fish and chips, and salmon chowder. Aurelia entertained us for over an hour. I fixed her dinner of oatmeal and pears, and grandpa jumped in and insisted on doing the feeding. He says he is out of practice, and never gets this chance. He had a great time, remembering doing that 24 years ago with our kids. Aurelia opens her mouth so wide you would swear she unhinges her jaw, like a snake swallowing a rat. She has this new thing, of mimicking your every move. He would shake his head around, and so would she. stick out his tongue, and so would she, and so on. It was pretty comical, and brought back a lot of memories for me, too.

She fell asleep in the car on the way home, so we just let her sleep in her carseat on the couch. She woke up after a half hour or so, and got to sit with grandpa for a while, before she got into everything within reach, and took the sacred remote control. He then set her up on the floor, with buckets of toys, where she stayed until her parents came to get her. I had to laugh at them, as it was before ten o'clock when they declared it a night. I told them it sucks to get old, huh?

It is my day off tomorrow, but alas, I wake even earlier than when I go to work, so I can be at the condo to babysit. Alisha works at 8:45, so I will be there around 8.
