I was at the condo this morning, so Alisha could get to work. Aurelia was still in bed when I arrived, but that changed before her mother left. I fed her a bottle, then we played on the floor in her room for a while. I got her dressed, and we went to a McD's where I met several of my "old men" boyfriends. Merle is 87, and uses a walker to get around these days. He is very tall, but is starting the slump over a bit. He shakes like a leaf, and uses two hands to hold his coffee, or whatever it is he is eating. But let me tell ya, that old man is sharp as a tack. He gets so excited when he sees me come in. He jumps up, and makes his way to me, and gives me the best hugs I have ever got. (well, besides a Tammy hug, but really) I had not been in to see them in months, yet he asked me about the motorcycle, the job, how is Papa Joe...Merle knows his stuff, and lets them all know that I am his "girlfriend". I really need to try to get there more often. Aurelia and I then came to my house, where we waited for Brittany and Caitlyn to be ready to leave. We ate a fast food lunch (not at McDs), then hit our first Value Village of the day. Brittany had to be at work at two, so we dropped her off, and continued on our spree. Went to Goodwill, another Value Village, then a Costco that was having an EXPO sale. I spent $100 on things that don't go bad...stopped at the bank for a couple of things, then brought Cait home, and Aurelia and I went back to the condo. I fed her dinner, and a bottle, and she was so very tired, I placed her into the crib, where she played for 45 mintues, without falling asleep. Alisha arrived home before Chris did, and I was free to leave. I stopped for pizza, because it was 7:30 already, and the game was tipping off. These days are long, and tiring. I will sleep well tonight. Scout...sorry I confused Cajun for your brother! oops...I picked up some Washington State sight seeing books at VV...I might be able to find something that I had never seen before. |
