That grandbaby of mine is just so cute...she amazes me each week. This morning, Alisha brought her out to the living room, where I was waiting. Aurelia got so excited and happy to see me, it really makes a grama feel great! My friend Kay brought lunch to me a little later, and didn't know that I had the baby laying on a blanket on the floor. Kay just kept talking, and finally asked, "Is she napping?" I said, "No, she is right behind you"....Kay got pretty excited, since she doesn't get to see her much, and turned, and let out a whoopie, "Hi Sweetie!" It scared the hell out of the baby, and she let out a loud cry, that could be heard in the next condo. Kay was very apologetic at that point, but it really made me feel good that I don't get that sort of reception.

She is also starting to make certain responces to situations. For example, she was sitting in her high chair, playing with a toy while I got her breakfast ready. She dropped the toy, and said "uh-oh". I thought perhaps it was a fluke, so I picked up said toy, and gave it back to her, and watched this time. Sure enough, she flung it to the floor, and again said, "uh-oh". Later, she was in my arms, as we left Target. She saw a little girl, perhaps three years old, coming into the store. Aurelia got so excited, she was yelling. I could not tell you what her words were, but she was definately waving her right arm with exhuberance. I told my friend whom was with us, that she was waving, and the little girl started waving right back to her. She was communicating for sure. She is merely 10 months old. I found a booklet at the condo, "Baby Signage for Dummies". It has a few basic sign language signs to teach to babies. I read through the book, and decided her and I will work on the "Grandma" sign. Each time I saw her, I signed "hello", Then again, "goodbye" as I left the room. I am sure she will catch on before I will.
I will learn some signs from the Scout...

I met Alisha as she left her work tonight. Gave her all the baby stuff, and I went to Ezell's Fried Chicken for take out (I had a coupon)...I cheated big time.

The kid (brat) from work found this blog thing of mine. I had sent him an e-mail with a few of the printed stories, and he just googled a few lines. I guess I didn't really care if he found it or not...but I was a bit shocked that something I wrote could have made a google listing. Weird to me, but the age we live in...I told Shannon that Dan found it, and she suggested that I never write about him anymore. I just laughed at that suggestion, and said I would just write more about him. Start rumors and stuff...mess with his melon...Tell him how much more I like working with guys like ____ and ____ than with him. Just kidding Dan, even if you are a little punk, you have charactor, even if you are a ittle annoying.
