I went to the church to help out today. Had to set up for the reception and a run through for the wedding. I took Caitlyn with me, and a bag of "stuff" just in case. What a boy scout I am!

In my bag, I threw; a small hammer, a screwdriver, scotch tape dispenser, Elmers glue, rubber bands, a small sewing kit, scissors (2), Fat Sharpie, stapler, ruler, safety pins, flashlight, AAA batteries...God knows what else.

Would you believe we used that stuff? I used the screwdriver handle to help me "fluff" out a silk flower. We used the sewing kit to repair a floral decoration. The tape came in handy for the centerpieces, along with both pair of scissors. We used the ruler to put window clings at the same height on two different doors. Safety pins failed to fix the flower thing that needed the needle and thread. Wow, I was glad I put that together.

We joined them for dinner at a place called "Crossroads". It was pretty nice, I will go back one day.

Kay is a bit frazzled, but I think we will do fine. This was meant to be. All the grandkids played great together, and Caitlyn could not pull herself away from them. She did well keeping them all in line during all the festivities. Good thing I brought her, too.

Since I am not in charge of anything tomorrow, except herding people from the sanctuary to the fellowship hall, I can be running a bit behind. The ceremony starts at 3:00, and my game tips off at noon. As long as it doesn't go into overtime, I should be golden. The UW Huskies sit atop the Pac10, while the lowly Oregon Ducks have yet to win a game in conference play, so it had better not be a close game. Kay heard me say that to someone tonight, and she flipped out, yelling "Priorities" to me...I said, "Duh, that was what I was thinking"
