Not even 8:00 tonight, and I am so tired, I cannot keep my eyes open. I didn't even do too much today. I go back to work tomorrow, after having 3 days off. Good, I need the respite. Mike and I went to the jewelery store, and had our rings cleaned. I asked about updating my wedding ring, for next years anniversary. I have a .53k diamond just sitting around. It was something his dad gave to me, and I always wanted to make it into a ring. I still want this same old thing, too...the lady suggested that we make a third ring, that wraps around my set, and add the diamond to it. It wouldn't be too expensive, and it would add a lot. I really liked that idea, and I will bring her that stone to see if we could actually do it. She asked if we had any unused gold laying around, which would drop the price. I said no, but when I got home, and dug that diamond out, I realized I have the stupid 10 year ring from my work. It is big, and gawdy, and 14k, and has a diamond of its own....Might be on to something there... We got Kay and Al married today. It went off quite well...she looked great! Was a very nice, simple ceremony, with perhaps 100 guests or so. Mike and I were so full of meatballs and wings that we didn't stop for dinner on the way home. I might find that bed before he notices I am missing, and sleeping deeply within minutes. |
