I wish I could take a day off like Ferris did. I crawled out of bed, wanting to crawl back in. My throat hurt so badly, I gargled with salt water again. I did spray the chloraseptic in my mouth once in the middle of the night. I nearly drowned, unable to swallow. Not so sure I will do that again.

I called in to work, and had to talk to "B". I could barely speak as it was, but I managed to let her know who it was. Not so sure she could hear me, but she did say to just stay home. We made it short, and not so sweet. No love lost there. It was the first time I had called in sick in at least two years.

I then called the doctors office, to see if I could get in today. They had an opening at 10, so I went. They took a strep culture, that nearly made me throw up on the nurse. I hate that gagging feeling. My blood pressure was good, no fever, bad headache. The culture came back negative, and they gave me free samples of my daily meds. Hit me with a dose of Advil, and I left.

I went to the Verizon store, and paid my bill. Looked into a new phone, but I will wait until June, when I get one free. I might change the plan before then, to save a few dollars.

Then I went to Costco, (man, I go there a lot). Got a few things, ran into an old friend and chatted a while, and came home. I was home alone nearly all day, so I figured out how to fire up the Wii, without an audience. I played a new game called Wii Play, and I bowled a few games. I did the one bowling game where it keeps adding pins. That was kinda cool all by myself. No one to tell me what I was doing wrong, or how to do it better. When they do that, I usually just drop the Wiimote and walk away. It was very nice under my own terms. I also found that I don't know how to shut the thing down.

Not sure what I will be doing tomorrow. Hope I feel up to it. I think we will be shopping for a TV. What excitement...notsomuch...I think I will order my Kindle2 soon. That will excite me.
