Mike and I left our house at 9:30 this morning, to pick Aurelia up, and have her while Alisha was at work, and Chris got the taxes done. Problem was, Mike and I had a big day planned already, and didn't want to drastically change it, but we were willing to take her along. That meant we would have her a lot longer than they needed her to be gone.

We went to South Sound BMW motorcycle dealership, to a swap meet. Neither of us had been there before, so we looked around quite a bit, and had a good time. We din't buy anything, but got a few ideas on a tail bag for my bike.

From there, we went to IKEA, where I needed store specific lightbulbs for the bedroom. That store requires a lot of time, or if you are in a hurry, a map, and running shoes. We were not in any hurry, and needed to feed the baby lunch, so we ordered up Swedish meatballs, and cracked open a jar of baby food.

Mike pushed her around the whole place in her stroller. She got very animated when we approached the kid section. They have a big archway made up of stuffed animals, and she grunts and points and kicks her legs. We spent a lot of time in that section. Hard to not buy everything that makes her smile, but we did okay. She got a new bib/cup/bowl set for $1.99. We also got Mickey, our dog, a new set of three rubber balls. Was funny watching the dog and the baby play with those! Aurelia would not touch the dog slobber covered balls a second time. She was done. ewwwwww...

On our way home, I called Alisha, asking if she wanted to come to dinner tonight, knowing that Chris would be at a MLS Seattle Sounders game. She hemmed and hawwed a bit, then asked if we would be willing to keep the baby longer, so they both could attend the game. "SURE", but bring her some PJ's and her protable crib on your way to the game. They then called, saying they would not have time to stop, and wanted us to go get those things from their place. ummmm...no, we will survive.

I have the same high chair that we bought new when Alisha was 10 months old. Her baby uses it just fine, and eats a lot here. She has toys, and books, and plenty to do. SHe just does not like to sleep when she is here. Today, she needed a nap. I put her into her car seat, and she was out like a trout for an hour. YAY! SOrry it wasn't in a bed, laying down, getting real rest, but it was a much needed nap, and I am sure she survived fine. We did not have a change of clothes, so I took ehr blue jeans off, and then I found a pair of my fuzzy socks, and cut the toes off. I made my own "Baby Legs" and she crawled all over my house. I am sure she is worn out, I know I am!

I fed her the first popsicle. It was an all fruit, no sugar added tangerine frozen treat. She hated it, and loved it at the same time. Talk about a sour face! Caitlyn took a few pictures, but I don't have them on the computer. ooops...

At some point, I made Teriyaki beef, with rice for dinner. Not what I had inteded to have tonight, but it is what I ended up with. I am very tired, and need sleep...zzzzzzzzz
