What a beautiful weekend in my area! The weather was bright and sunny, and made you just ache to head outside. I was stuck inside at work today, but seems everyone was in a fantastic mood, bith guests and employees. Of course, I think it might have been that "B" is on vacation and the L-Twin was off. Matter of fact, I was the only manager there from 11-5pm, and all went real well. Even one of the new kids asked if I was the only manager there, and when I said yes, she said, "Good, I like you!"....I said to tell that to "B" one day....hehehe

I rode the motorcycle in to work, for the first time in a while. My forearms are a bit sore from the ride yesterday, but that is a good kind of pain. I look forward to riding all week, even if I am on the Shadow instead of the BMW. It is a bit smaller, and less powerful, but I would still much rather ride it than drive a car.

Yesterday, we stopped at "Joe's Outdoor and More" to look at sleeping pads for camping on the bikes this summer. They had a sale for 25% off, plus a coupon for $25 off if we spend more than $100. The display was confusing at best, with a brochere showing all the types and the differences. Of course they did not carry all of them, and most were opened, with no real discription of which model. There was a prolite 4 with a tag saying prolite 3, price $79.99....the display says the 4 is half an inch thicker than the 3, so I would assume the 4 is more expensive...Finally, a guy came to help us, and he took the 4 to the backroom to check the price. I was thinking we screwed up getting the 4 at the 3 price, but oh well...He finally comes back, with new price tag stickers saying he will sell us two of the 4's for $25 each. WHATWHAT?? The 25% off brought them to just over $18 each, and we walked out of there spending less than $40...I was elated! I am sure there are better pads, but really, we won't be using them much. For car camping, we will take a much better matteress pad. These will work great for us, and are easy to pack. Self-inflating, and easy deflating. I am getting stoked for the riding season.

Dinner was prepared by Mike tonight. He made taco casserole, which I usually make the day after taco night. He made taco meat just for this. I smelled the tacos when I walked in, and I was so ready to eat a plate full of them, to find out he was just putting the casserole in the oven. Oh well, it was pretty good, even if I had to wait a bit.
