Mike and I were to go for a ride today, but I just had so many things I have been trying to get done, I could not justify it. I know, I know, there is nothing but rain in the forecast, but there is also nothing but work there, too. So, we started out the same way we start every Saturday...by depositing his weekly paycheck. He is too lazy to fill out the paperwork for direct deposit and we have been out of deposit slips for months. There is no excuse for it, other than he just never gets it done. I love direct deposit, and would not think of any other way. I was driving, so I stopped at Goodwill to see what they offered in picture frames. Re-doing my wall is a high priority for me, and I want old, mismatched frames. I found that they are too proud of their collection for me, as I can buy a brand new one for the amount they want. I did find Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which means I now have three complete sets. This is a major accomplishment for me, as my girls have sworn to fight for the family set when I die. Now, I can give each of them their own set for Christmas, and I will be able to rest in peace. No, not really, they will still fight for my shot glass collection...at least the Major League Baseball part of it. One from every ballpark, plus the Hall of Fame, Louisville Bat Factory, Field of Dreams...it is a nice set. We stopped at a CD store, for Mike to get something he had ordered, while I shopped next door for frames. We then hit REI, and had lunch. Aurelia turns one on Tuesday, so I still needed a good grandma gift. Looked around at Toys R Us, then went to Babies R Us. They both had Fisher Price toys buy one, get one free, so she is getting two different things. http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2341&e=detail&pcat=bubrilliant&pid=44950 and http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2341&e=detail&pid=48059&pcat=amazinganimals I think she will like both of these for some time to come. Came home, and we watched Seattle Sounders play game four. It was their first loss, and a decent game. I am pretty new to soccer, and learning the rules. It is a bit complicated, and our goalie was ejected. That part sucked, and I don't understand why he can't play in the next game either. Whatever... I had a pork roast in the oven, with potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic and rosemary... |
