This morning, it was cold, and overcast. I kept changing my mind if I was going to ride, or drive to work. Finally, after a friend called I just didn't have enough time to change into riding gear, then out of it before time to punch in. By the time I was off, it was very warm out, and I was regretting my laziness this morning. Tomorrow I will babysit, so it is the car all day. I came home and Caitlyn had cleaned the kitchen, top to bottom. She suggested that I go to the grocery store with her, and get stuff for dinner, so she could cook it. I had plans already, but if she was offering to cook, I was flexible. I gave her my debit card, and sent her without me. We had flank steak. Brittany called, and asked if we were watching the Mariner game, which of course we were, so she asked if her and Ryan could join us. I told her to bring her own hunk of beef, as there wasn't enough to share. Brittany brought the exact same dessert as Caitlyn was making....fresh strawberries, pound cake, and coolwhip. well, Britt also had vanilla pudding but we all laughed that they are both my kids. So, the Mariners are 6-2 going in to tonights game. At this point, it is fair to say they will move to 7-2. If you know anything at all about baseball, this is really weird. Ken Griffey Jr has returned to Seattle, and has made a huge impact in the clubhouse. He looks as if he is in his fathers body, with Jr's smile. Ichiro played in his first game of the season tonight, and has a grand slam. WOW! It might be fun to be a fan this year. |
