I arrived at the condo to watch Aurelia at a little after eight this morning. Alisha said she was a bit crabby, but I didn't believe her, because she is never fussy...yeah, she was. Alisha said she hadn't slept well, and she had a snotty nose. I ws left with this crabby baby, which was no big deal, I certainly had seen my share of crabby in my lifetime, I could deal with her today.

I fixed myself a bagel with cream cheese, which Aurelia swindled out of me fairly easily. I gave her some otehr stuff to eat also, while I toasted the other half of the bagel. Since it wasn't there when I returned, I assumed she had eaten it...oops...how quickly grandmothers forget. The floor was littered with her breakfast, so I just gave her more bagel, since it was going throught the digestive tract. While eating, and playing, I was there with tissue to clean her nose (and lips, and chin, and the backs of her hand when I was slow)...yucky, a sneeze really does blow the snot out of your sinuses. That is what it was meant to do. I notice that she rubs her ear, and was just overall uncomfortable today. When Alisha called to check in, I mention I think she may have an earache or infection. Of course, Alisha is not used to sickly babies, and immediatly wanted her to see the doctor. Since I was the one with the phone number on the fridge (at the condo) I called and got an appointment in 45 mintues. egads...I don't even know where the office is, and now I have to get ready to leave.

Turns out, the office is in the exact same space that my personal doctor office moved out of last summer. Wish I knew that prior to leaving, I would have felt better, than just knowing it was somewhere near there.

Turns out, she doesn't have an ear infection at this time. She is cutting teeth like a crazy baby, and has several ready to pop out. Her cold is just making eating and breathing miserable. We were told to give her tylenol and try to get some rest. I swung through a pick-up window on the way back. I didn't want to run errands today with her being ill. She was zonked out hard core, and i managed to get her into her crib without waking her. She slept for the next two hours, at least...I don't know just how long, because Chris, being the good daddy that he is, came home from work early to care for her.

I made a few stops on my way home. Two of those stops were fruitless, and should have been avoided, as I have nothing to show for them. I did stop at Kohl's, which I hardly ever go to. I knew they had a big sale on picture frames going, and I really need to work on my wall. I didn't like the frames at the sale prices even, but I did find a giant selection of clearance frames, which I spent nearly $50...I still need more, but it is a great start on what I was wanting.

My big stop was the grocery store, where I got a bunch of stuff. (YAY! mint Oreo's, who knew?) Got home, and started making the marinade for steak fajita's, which Mike BBQed. I cooked green peppers and onions in the grill pan, and we had mexi-rice, refried beans and tortillas over the grill. It was very good...

I ordered 4 books through Amazon today, too! Two are for Alisha and Chris for Mother's and Father's Days...Last year I was dealing with my mothers illness and death, and just wasn't thinking straight to even help them celebrate their first ones...speaking of my mom...Friday marks the one year anniversary of her death.

I miss her, yet the pain she was in those last few day/weeks...awful to watch one you love go through that. I hope no one ever has to endure that on my behalf.
