Got to work this morning, and found that there was a shift that needed replacing. "B" offered me some ideas, even if none of them made much sense to me. I would need a service person, someone that speaks the English language fluently. I looked at it, and figured my worst case scenario would be to have Min stay later, I know he would be willing, even if he is annoying as all hell. Then, I ask the new cute boy Luis to come back, and work it later in the day (his shift was over at 10am), he made a phone call and said yes, he can do it. YAY me and Derrick! I covered it with the cute boy... Derrick was busy today training another new cute on the front counter. Which meant that Derrick would be tied up, and not much help to me. Then, another call in sick...omg, doesn't anyone work around here? I ask the other cute kid to stay later in the day, and he says he can...then, "B" comes and asks me if I am doing one of her scenarios...I say, no, I took care of it. Turns out, that later in the day, Derricks other cute boy came to work, and I thought that kid was going to have a heart attack. He never had all three before. He didn't know which one to spend his time chatting with. He made a statement that all the Greek Gods were here at the same time, and I mentioned that it would be more fair to their heritage is you referred to them as the Latino Gods...seriously, Luis, Nick, and Ramon? Yeah, let's just say English is not their first language... So the supervisor stopped by unexpected today. I needed something from the office, and walked into the conversation of him and "B" trying to figure out just how they were going to spread the managers out to cover shifts in my absence...I thought to myself, that I could not care less how they will cover me, just so long as they do not try to borrow me from the store I am being sent to. I want them to feel a bit pinched, and notice that I am gone. I don't think they realize all the little things I do around there, I know I am under-appreciated. Oh, I sent Luis to work the back booth, taking orders and money. He is a bit new to that, but has done it a bit. I just didn't have many options, so that was where I pput him. On his break, he scarfed (I mean it went fast) down a dipped cone. It was entirely too much sugar in too short a time. He took the headset, when it happened. Ryan (Brittanys man) got a job at Papa John's, so we decided to order pizza tonight. We never had that pizza before, so what the heck...We had a coupon book thing, for an online order. The website was so confusing to me, I filled out the order form TWO TIMES...TWO TIMES...and still they didn't get the toppings on the damn pizza right. Who orders a coupon pizza with three toppings, and gets only cheese? It was the worst tasting pizza I have ever tried to eat, even the old frozen cardoard pies...Not sure if it is worth bitching about, or just write it off, and never order there again. At least I had a bowl of ice cream, with strawberries over the top. |
