My last Friday...I sure hope I don't have anything to bitch about next Friday. I was put in the same spot I am always in...big guess there...I was sort of singing under my breath, in a great mood, when one of "them" asked me why are you in such a good mood? I just smiled and replied, "because this is the last Friday that you guys get to treat me like shit" I even astounded myself, that I was able to verbalize that statement. YAY, I said to myself at that point, and went about my business, still in a great mood. Later in the day, much later, I was so bored, and we were so slow, that I excused myself, and headed into the backroom, where I set up a cart, and a seat made of boxes, and just put kids meal boxes together, with toys (a CD) inside. Tomorrow is the annual Mill Creek yard sales. One of two Saturdays that residents can hold a sale at their home. This draws people from all over the region, looking for cheap stuff. It means that this store is busier than hell, and breaks all kinds of sales records. I am off...whatever...I have every Saturday off...when I started at this store, I told them I could work those days, and just take Sunday off instead. I don't think "B" ever knew that, and I wasn't about to volunteer to work it, just being a hellacious Friday on steroids or something. I am not against helping set them up today though...I did several things, knowing that they would be appreciated, yet it will never be verbally communicated to me that they noticed. I left for work this morning a bit early, wanting to take in some of that glorious sunshine. It was a beautiful day here, and since I worked until 8pm, no way to enjoy it at that point. I took some twisty roads, and had a good ride. Dinner tonight was slumgulley. Big day planned tomorrow, Hope I find time to tell you about it. (I am going to those yard sales, then to a Mariner game) |
