Today was the day that Diva One was to be certified. That means the supervisor is there, all day, watching him run the shift, with her white gloves and stop watch. He was a bit nervous, and missed a couple crucial breaks before lunch, but I realized it and squeezed them in. It was a little too late to do it, but I hate having the crew suffer for managment incompetency. He would not have missed them had she not been there... That was the only mistake he made. He is still young, and new to this, but he is the right one for it. He will do fine. He passed the test, I can't tell you the things we did to help him, as that particular supervisor reads this sometimes. Lets say I helped him with a few things... Nothing spectacular happened to write about. I have plans tomorrow. I am taking Diva Dos with me to babysit. Hopefully the baby is ready to stay busy most of the day. You might wonder why one is "One" and the other is "Dos"...merely because I think Diva Dos rolls off the tongue real well, but Diva Uno sounds funny, and is difficult to say. Diva One is is easier to pronunciate. We are all pretty bilingual at work...gee, I wonder why? Speaking of which, Mike had made tacos for dinner tonight. They were pretty good, even if there wasn't a lot of side items. |
