I love getting excited for vacations! Not that I am going far, but I am going solo. I am planning to leave here on Wednesday, and head over Snoqualmie Pass to Ellensburg. I will then take Canyon Road to Yakima, perhaps 82 to Prosser, where I know my way to Benton City on the back roads. (well I used to anyway...been 25 years since I tredged along that path) I plan on staying at Cindys for a few nights, then when Mike joins me Friday, I will go to Rhondas. That way Mike and John can do whatever it is they do. They work on 'woodies' together is what my lil sister and I say. (really, they enjoy woodworking and always have some sort of long distance project going on)

Things I want to do while in Kennewick, in no particular order: pedicure from sister Cindys little Asian man, he gives great massages...Visit brother Mike, either in town, or at his campsite, or wherever he may be...Go to thrift stores/yard sales with sister Rhonda...See my friends Cindy and Cathy...See my JS peeps, Suga mama, grandma, hawkscitys wife, and her daughter(?)...Ride a horse...get a tan...spend time with my neices and nephew...dye my hair..get hair cut from cousin or Amber...bond with sisters thru wax...visit that cycle accesory shop in Angus Village...This list is endless...

Went on a ride today...yeah, it was hot today, very hot. Well, for us that means 70 degrees. We left home after 3 loads of laundry, which put us at about 11:00. I wore those new summer pants, with under armour underneath. the difference was immense. I could feel the wind blowing through, and early on, I was a bit chilled. I chose my pink jacket, with the liner, and two under armour long sleeve shirts, or a tank top. Our first stop was an embrodry shop in Stanwood. Mike has new uniform shirts for his crew, and needs names on them, with the company logo. We had lunch at a little burger joint, and it was very good. From there, we took twisty roads to Smokey Point to watch the trick riders at their Cycle Barn. Saw dudes going up a ramp, and doing 'X-Games' type jumps before landing on the other ramp. It was really cool, and I think my brothers would not have made it to adulthood had that crap been going on 35 years ago. They put on a good show, I had fun watching. Then the trick bikes came out. These would be the crotch rockets, sport bikes. We could not really see them, but we saw a lot of burning rubber, and a guy standing on the seat, waving with both hands above his head. omg, I really do not know what posesses those guys. I hope they all stay safe. One time, at work a year or so ago, I told a guy I ride a motorcycle, and he got excited, and asked me if I did any tricks. I answered yes, I get from point A to point B in one piece. Sometimes it is more difficult to do that than other times, but each and every time, it is a trick. yeah...

My helmet is FABULOUS! It fits so much better than any I have ever had on. The Scala system is working very well, and I am getting better at shutting it down so Mike won't hear me singing. I even heard him once today, but I won't tell him...he would deny it anyway.

Dinner was a Tequila Lime turkey breast cooked in foil over the bbq. We had spanish rice, refried beans, grilled peppers and onions, served with tortillas, and chips and salsa. I work early due to the boss calling and asking to switch shifts with him. YAY! I like early shifts!
