Our picnic started around noon instead of 2:00. I made it there around 12:30. I think we had a pretty good turn-out, but we didn't keep a guest list going. As with most family get-togethers, we had a lot more food than we could possible eat. I think the people that live in the Tri-Cities don't appreciate the Columbia River. I know I didn't when I lived here and saw it daily. It is truly beautiful. I have been to the east coast on a car trip, and there just isn't a river of this magnitude anywhere. I know the Mississippi River is longer, but it doesn't flow as quick or clean. Three rivers come together right here, and it is very wide. From our JS group, I met Suga Mama, HawkCitys wife, and Grandma. Cindy was there too, of course. She put on the spread, and as always did a fabulous job of it. I rode the Beemer there, and somehow forgot to bring my flip flops home, so I had to go back. I am pretty tired, and plan to go to bed soon. Gonna run to Safeway with Rhonda...adios...(always change my plans with sisters around) |
