Before starting work again today, this new manager of mine calls me up to see if I would work earlier in the day next Friday. (Hell yes, I will always work earlier, hardly ever later). She apologized for yesterdays fiasco. I am still a bit miffed over the entire thing, so I told her that I just didnt want to be treated as if I am stupid, at any point. For her to 'need' to give me my schedule insinuated that I was too stupid to get it myself. Let's just say, if one is told on a Tuesday, that starting the following Monday, one will be working at another location. Who in their right mind would not follow up somehow, someway of getting their schedule? Of knowing what time to show up? Did she think I was going to be sitting at home, all day on Monday, waiting for a phone call, to ask why I am late? My reply would be, "I am sorry, I just didn't think to find out when I was to show up, so I am sitting here, ready, but really, since I didn't know, I thought perhaps you would call and let me know"...so, me and my new boss are already on the wrong foot, and we have not even started. And when I do start (at 1pm on Monday, off at 9pm, with a friggen 7am start on Tuesday) she will be on vacation for the week. I need to get in a good mood about this whole mess soon. Maybe I do need to take my sisters advice and just find something else out there. Next weeks schedule sucks big time, I think I will change my availability to earlier in the day, and let the kids work later. I cannot imagine getting out of the new place in the dark. The parking lot sucks, and I will be terrified walking out to the car, let alone getting gloves on to ride a motorcycle, feeling like I will be blindsided. ohmycheesus...oh, and Brittanys question about her asking me to switch to a 7-3 shift? "Are you sure it was a 7am-3pm? Maybe she means 7pm-3am"...I will show up at 7am, and not return for a 7pm...let 'em fire me. whatever...I have plans for Saturday and I will not work until 3am and ride a motorcycle by 10am. Be suicidal.

I am finally starting on all the newspapers I missed. I am skimming through them. Maybe I will get some done while Aurelia sleeps tomorrow. I think we will take Mickey into the vet, too. I have a lot of questions as to her care. She is getting around a bit better now than she was. When Brittany brought her puppy over last night, Mickey jumped off her chair and played as if nothing was wrong. She was then done for today, it took a lot out of her. She is putting some weight on it, but not much. She also hasn't been out to pee since I came home. I tried to coax her out, but to no avail. She holds it forever, I think.

Dinner? Yeah, last night, Mike cooked too much chicken for the stir-fry, so I looked around for the leftovers to do something with. We failed to put that into the fridge, so it was thrown out. crap...okay, I will fix mac and cheese from scratch, no big deal...I got a pot of water on to boil. It was boiling away, and I had spent 5 mintues searching for the macaroni. Yeah, we are out. I don't think that has ever happened before...so, I called a Amante's Pizza and Pasta. They deliver with no surchage. Had Chicken fettucini alredo, and minestroni. Mike had Lasagna and a salad. We got a free chocolate cake with our order, but could not eat it tonight. Hopefully it will still be aroud tomorrow. oh, I tip well...Thank God I didn't have to cook...

Sally, I want to see a picture of you on your scooter! With the helmet, I would LOVE it! Next time you are in the country, well, in this part of the country, we will go riding together...lol...be good times.

Twila, since you are back in town, and so am I...Jen wants the recipe to your cookies. Can we have it? E-mail it to me, and I will post it.
