Mike and I did a little Costco shopping this morning. My best purchase was the new John Sanford book, "Wicked Prey". I will start it tonight, as I have not had a book for a few days. I have been too tired to do much reading anyway. I highly doubt tonight will be much different, as I am dropping now.

We stopped at Subway for Five Dollar Footlongs, brought them home to eat, then took off for my friends the Rednecks. Mike had a "non-mandatory" meeting today, within 10 miles of their home, at 2:00. His meeting was because the company is changing insurance companies, and the HR guy wanted to help them all fill out the forms. Those that do not make the meeting, do not get coverage. Sounds illegal to me, but I am not schooled in that sort of thing. I thought it made a great way for me to visit my friends, and get a good ride in.

By the way, TK says she would rather be called 'white trash' than a Redneck. I said that when I saw a few episodes of "My Big Redneck Wedding", I thought of their clan, so I dubbed them Rednecks. Whatever they are, I love 'em dearly...I really am going to request a Friday off, and just ride down there and spend the weekend at some point this summer.

Mike and I stopped at a new to us Casino to eat. It is called "Red Wind", and was near Yelm. They had a fabulous buffet. It was a bit spendy, but I was hungry, and we were there, what do ya do? They had hostess seat you, then get your drinks. We were off to load our plates, to find it was seafood night. No, I don't know if that is every night, but let me tell ya, it was some of the best King Crab I have ever gorged myself on. I think I loaded my plate the first trip, with a little of everything. Shrimp, baked salmon, scallops, crab...I only had the crab after that. And then more crab...I gutted a whole plate of legs into a pile, and I had what must have been a cup and a half of meat. What a friggen crab pig I was! I know for sure I ate more crab than the $22 entry fee covered. They also had a chocolate fountain, with fresh strawberries, and little cream puff things. Then for dessert, there was a full pie menu...cream pies, cheesecakes, omg, fat city, but oh, man!!! I think I will not need to eat again for quite some time. I told Mike we will just ride straight to that casino next time, and pay, and sit and eat all day...uh..no, maybe not.

We left the casino around 7pm, and had about 90 miles to get home. We did not make any stops, just a straight run. the weather was beautiful, perhaps over 80 degrees, I didn't wear too much under the gear, as usual. Thought about taking the cooling vest, but I really didn't think we would need it. It was okay, as long as we were rolling. We did just over 200 miles in total.

My brother called me at some point. He and his wife are attempting to make the cookie recipe from yesterdays post. He asked me about the flour, and did we somehow omit it? I was down in redneck/white trashland, and thought about what could I do for him. I told him I would call him right back, then called Twila. Of course, she doesn't answer her phone today, probably because she is at some sporting event of one of her kids, and can't even hear it. I left a text message for her, then I checked my e-mail with my phone. Sure enough, the original she sent me didn't have flour, but it talked of flour in the mixing part. She quickly answered, with "2 cups, sorry". I have now fixed the recipe, hope it didn't mess any one up too badly. I have not yet tried making them, not sure when I would ever have the time.
