I spent my day with Derrick, the Diva Dos. He asked me last night what I was up to, and since I was only watching the gandaughter and paying bills, there was no reason not to include him as well. He said he needed some 'Peggy-time'. He is in managment training, and had some bad days recently. He told me of some scary upset guest stories, and I tried to console him, but seriously, sometimes those folks can just be a bit cranky. I sum it up like this: 1) they are here to eat. Hungry people are grumpy people. 2) They are cheap folks as well, since they chose this establishment. Cheap folks can somehow think they are leaders (or above us employees) simply because they do not work for a clown. Put together, we are dealing with a lot of cheap, hungry folks, and get the brunt of their crap a lot of the times. Learn to let it slide off your back, and get the job at hand. Sometimes people notice that you are doing a good job...Diva Dos told me a recent story about a shift he ran quite well the other day. The supervisor was there, and asked him what he did different this time, and why it went so much better. His responce was that at the begining of the day, he tried to do what Peggy does. He did a pre-shift path, looking at the things I look at, and dealt with little fires along the way as I would. I am not sure how much of that is true, but it made me feel good that we share this supervisor, and that he was hearing good things about me. Sometimes I wonder what I am doing here.

So I arrived at the condo 45 minutes early, as I screwed up the arrival time. At least I wasn't late, right? Aurelia was still sleeping, but she awoke soon enough. I had time to eat the breakfast I had brought along. When she woke up, I fixed her a bottle, then scrambled two eggs for her, and fed her a YoBaby yogurt. We left and headed for TL McDs to give CR a coupon I got in the mail yesterday. I thought of him, and he was pretty excited to see $10 off at Bucca De Beppo. He loves that place, I like it only with a large group.

We then picked Diva up, and he took me to lunch. Well, I drove but he paid. I paid a couple of bills. One of which had a new guy working, not my usual girl. He wanted my given name, not my nickname, and that pissed me off. He wasn't going to let me pay my "combined" internet/wireless/fios tv bill. OMG, I swear that if any person on the streets would like to put money onto my account, I would accept it. For crying out loud, I just wanted to make a damn payment. Well, not even a payment, I pay the entire thing, each month, every month for YEARS.

We then went to pick Caitlyn up, as she wasnted somethig to do. We headed to Wal*Mart, and I was able to get a bunch of little odds and ends that needed getting. Diva found a very large ball that he started playing with Aurelia. She laughed and giggled and kicked her feet like crazy. I took a video of it, and it cracks me up. I need to figure out how to post on youtube, I think...

We then stopped at 3 different thrift stores, before heading to a grocery store for dinner items. I brought Diva home with me, and we made homemade ice-cream, cut fresh strawberries, and Mike BBQed pork chops. Served with chips, and corn...Then I had to go out in the darkness of the evening to return Diva to his home. I am worn out. The baby was fabulous today! She ws never once grumpy, she just went along with all we did. A lot of in and out of the car seat, and she is getting to know Auntie Diva. (He says if she ever refers to him as that, he would cry with joy)

Was a nice day off...but, I am tired. I have a 7am start, and the Beemer needs fuel first if I am to ride that in. Not so sure I have that in me.
