We both slept in, with no alarm clocks. He of course, is accustomed to waking at 4:45 each morning, so when he gets up around 7:00, he considers himself lucky. Him climbing out of bed woke my bladder, and then it was too late to fall back to sleep... By 10:00, I finally showered, and got ready to face the world. We had a mental list of things to do, but since nothing was written, we lost track of all things. Oh well. No big motorcycle ride today, just a lazy day. He dropped me off at the nail salon, since I had a busted/missing nail, and they are growing so darned fast I needed a fill. He wanted a haircut, and I saw a new place near the nail salon. I pointed it out to him, and told him to head to the bank first, then do whatever for a while. I don't go get my nails done without Shannon much, and they all missed her. I think they like listening to our stories. I wish she was there, too. Annie and I chatted the whole time though, I am getting better at understanding her English. She is pretty funny. Mike sent a text saying he chose to go to that new place, where I soon went to find him. Turns out, it is a mens only barber/new age hangout. I don't really know how to describe it. There was a pool table in the middle, and three cutting chairs. There were at least two stylists/barbers? They were both in their twenties, and heterosexual men. When I slipped in, they did not ask me any questions, or tell me I didn't belong. They simply ignored me. I sat on one of the three big lazy boy type waiting chairs....and waited. When it was time for Mike to pay, all he had was a credit card, and they don't accept those...(huh?)...I stood up, and said I had cash in the car, but I didn't have the keys to it. I went and got that, then he was free to go. The cut was $15+ the $5 tip. That is less than he usually pays, and he really liked the place. I told him perhaps we could make it a non-date-date every few weeks, as the two establishments are so close together. His hair really looks good, too! A trip to the Cycle Barn for a part for his bike, then a few more errands, and home with refrigerated stuffs. Stopped at Larry's Smokehouse for lunch (great deal there, I highly recommend it) A stop at the mall for a run through REI, which turned into an hour or so. Came home to find Brittany here, with her dog Ellie, and Caitlyn was here too. We watched the Seattle Sounders play to yet another tie, then the Mariners win and come back to 500. We had pizza for dinner, and Caitlyn and I finally made Twila's "Death By Chocolate" cookies. and I have about 4 ounces of milk in the house...idiot that is me... |
