The overnight shifts... Here it is, 3:33 on Monday morning, and I just came home from work. I am so tired, and I probably won't be able to sleep once in bed. I usually read for a bit, but I don't want to disturb Mike, so I will pass some time on the computer before going that direction. I was stupid tired at work. So tired, that I was stupid...I could not focus, nor think straight. I forgot a few important matters, and had no cares once I remembered them. I just plain didn't do them. Hopefully someone will pick up the pieces at some point. Mike and I went for a ride on the motorcycles today (Sunday in my thinking). we went around Lake Sammamish. Not too far, but I had never done that, and it sounded good at the time. Now that I have done it, I don't care to repeat it any time soon. Didn't like the road, it was very bumpy. The houses are set down the hill ltowards the lake so far that you could not see them, and the other side of the road is up a hill, and you could not see those homes, either. We stopped for lunch at a favorite stop in Issaquah, but it was closed until 4pm, so we ate a brewery across the street. I asked if they had their owm rootbeer, and the answer was no, but they did have Thomas Kemper on tap. I chose that, and it came in a glass over ice. I wanted to ask if they serve their own brewed beer over ice, too...I drank the first glass very fast, and when she asked if I would like another, I asked for it with no ice, please. It then came in a warm glass...guess I couldn't win. It was so darned hot on the ride, I should have worn a cooling vest. Made it home, and got into the pool. I nearly fell asleep on an air mattress, I think my face burnt a bit. Came inside and took a nap, to help me make it through that stupid shift. I don't think it helped much. I heated up leftovers from yesterdays BBQ for my dinner. Carmens beans were with me throughout the night. Glad there wasn't many employees on that shift... |
