I met Christine a few years ago, when I started working at the TL location. She is the same age as my oldest daughter, and somehow her and I connected, maybe motherly of me, but I like to think more of a friendship type basis. Christine has an obsession with cell phones. She has always wanted the top phone on the market, regardless of the cost, or of how to get it. The one time, she wanted out of a contract, but didn't want to pay for closing the account. My kid wanted a cell phone, but I wasn't ready for a family plan. ALisha took over Christines account, paying it regularly, and they never made the name change. Seriously, it must be for 5 or 6 years at this point. Finally, Alisha and Chris are at the point where they need to get rid of this added cost, and have their own family plan together. Alisha would very much like to keep the same number. It worked out today, that we were all three off work, and in-state. This is like planets lining up just right. Really, since they do not know each other, they didn't want to go together. I had told Christine of these plans two days ago. I sent a remeber this type text yesterday. I waited today until I was in Alisha's car, and heading towards Christines home before trying to wake her. I knew she finished work at midnight, and would be awake gaming after that. After about 5 texts or so, she finally answered back, saying she didn't feel well, and didn't want to go. I kept on her, saying she had no choice, and basically being a mean mom to her. Then I simply texted..."please?"...which she lol, and said fine. We picked her up, and took her to lunch with us. Then to a T-Mobile shop. THere we find it is all handled over the phone, and she needs to call and release the rights over, and then Chris has to call and add that line to his account, and then she can get a phone that can send pictures, as her phone is older than dirt. (well nearly) It was really good seeing Christine today. We caught up on a lot of things. She is still working with the kid that got that tattoo on his chest, and Diva nearly drooled on while checking it out. I think we need a get-together with a bunch of us some day. Mike and I went to a bar for dinner. Never been there before, but it was okay. I like that smoking in any public buildings has been banned in this state. Makes the bar scene doable for me. I gotta get up early, so I am off to bed. |
